Hi Everyone! Welcome to our latest issue of The Traveling Dojo News!
We have committed to donating a percentage of our income each year to a charitable organization that aligns with our core values. Each issue of our newsletter will start with this call to action to help us in supporting our selected organization(s). This year we are supporting The Alliance Against Seclusion & Restraint (AASR). Planning your Fall activities? Registration is open for our Fall martial arts and women’s self-defense programs at the Casey Community Center.

National Night Out
We’re excited to once again partner with the City of Gaithersburg and be invited back to participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Casey Community Center. We hope you’ll join us for an evening of family fun and community spirit!
Stop by the Traveling Dojo booth to:

- 🎟️ Enter our raffle for a chance to win prizes valued at up to $200.
- 🔥 Take advantage of our National Night Out special with discounted martial arts classes available exclusively at the event.

You’ll also have the chance to meet officers from the Gaithersburg Police Department, enjoy music and dancing, and explore booths from local organizations throughout the community.
Students: We’d love your help! If you’re interested in volunteering at our booth or participating in a demonstration, please let Master Mark know.

Update On Our Search For Space
This has been a roller coaster ride for sure! The property owner of the property that we have been considering has finally come back with responses to our requests. They are interested in discussing our needs further and how they can accommodate them. We expect to be meeting with them in the next couple of weeks.

Student Referral Offer 🥋
We keep our class sizes to 10 or fewer students with no less than 2 instructors at each class. This keeps our school small and is also what differentiates us from other schools.
Our Damascus location has room for 3 more students and we are offering existing students (from any location) a referral bonus if you refer a student to our Damascus location or to our private private program. The referral bonus is simple:

We hold weekly classes in Damascus and at the Casey Community Center in Gaithersburg. We also provide private & small group lessons in-home, at Master Mark’s home dojo or your place of work. Do you have a small group (10 or less) and want us to Come To You? Contact us and we will work with you to make it happen!
Already have a belt rank in Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do or Uchudo? No problem, we will accept your current rank and train you for your black belt. Contact us to discuss how we can make the transition seamless!
